Send encrypted notes: password-protected private messages

Protect a note with a password before sharing it. Encryption runs in your browser; the server stores protected content without receiving the password. Ordinary boards and unprotected notes do not offer this same guarantee.

Write a note

An example to put it into practice

Protect · Unique password

Share · Temporary link

Password · Separate channel

Getting started

  1. Open the note and enable protection with a long, unique password. Keep the password safe: the service cannot recover it.
  2. Create a temporary link for the protected note. Copy it to WhatsApp or email and send the password through another channel.
  3. The link expires after 48 hours. Expiry cannot erase screenshots or copies already downloaded by the recipient. Check the link status and revoke it when no longer needed.

A common question

How can I send an encrypted note through WhatsApp or email without the server reading it?

Protect the note in your browser first and share its temporary link. Send the password separately. The recipient decrypts on their device. Check which content and attachments the sharing flow includes before sending; never publish the password with the link.

Your ideas, your way

Without an account, notes are saved on this device. With a free account, you can sync up to six text notes to the cloud, with no expiry and password protection. Attachments and audio require a paid plan.
