Visual task organizer: choose what to do next

A task board should help you decide, not just remind you how much is left. If all the notes look equally urgent, the organization is not solving the problem. Start with a few commitments and write down an action you can finish.

Write a note

An example to put it into practice

TO DO · Request a quote

IN PROGRESS · Draft proposal

DONE · Send invoice

Getting started

  1. Classify tasks as TO DO, IN PROGRESS and DONE. Write the status on the note itself as well as using a color.
  2. Limit your work in progress. If a task is blocked, add the reason and the next action: wait for a reply, ask for information or set aside time.
  3. Review outstanding tasks at the start and end of the day. Use one note for each next step and leave room for the information you actually need.

A common question

Do I need to set up a structure before writing?

No. Open one of your six free notes and start writing. You can organize your ideas later, once you know what works for you.
